On September 28, 2003 a skinny little ball of fire came into our lives. We made a promise to her that she would be happy here for as long as she lived. She was born on March 3, 1995 and lived her life, until she was rescued, in a cage giving birth to litter after litter of puppies until there was nothing left of the wee girl. She was rescued by some sweet ladies who allowed her to come and join the Williamson Clan. She arrived here via a Waggin' train and everyone who came in contact with her fell in love with her. She had the most soulful eyes. Today I took her to the vet. She just seemed out of sorts the past couple of days. Nothing you could put your finger on but was very uncomfortable this morning and would not eat or drink and could barely walk. X-rays showed she was full of cancer. It was over taking every organ. She looked at me and a tear fell from her eye. My little girl who had been so lively was ready to go and left peacefully while I held her. The others have said their goodbyes and she will be buried in the garden outside the window. Run through the meadows sweet girl. You were loved by many.

So sorry to hear of Miss Sassy's passing. It is so hard to say goodbye to our furry family members! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh how sad for you. I know she felt your love and was sad to be leaving you and the rest. It is a special person who rescues animals and you are more than special. Love and hugs to you!
My lips are quivering, my goose bumps have goose bumps, my eyes are so full of tears I can hardly see what I am writing. Oh Dayna, she was well loved after rescue. Thank the angels that she had you to live out the best years of her life. And remember, DOG spelled backwards is...

Oh Dayna, I am so sorry to hear this sad news. My heart goes out to you.
Dayne I am so sorry to hear about Miss Sassy .
My prayers are with you.
Dayna, So very sorry to hear of Miss Sassy's final journey across the Bridge. It's so hard to let them go, but they do tell you when it's time. I came across the bundle of cards we got when Max left us two years ago and lost it all over again, but that made room for our precious rescues DarbyDoo and Fiona. They do FIND you, too, and Miss Sassy was where and with whom she deserved to be. Blessings and peace.

I am crying, too. I am so sorry for your loss, Scottie. I have always had at least one beloved pet and I know how they wrap themselves around our hearts. It hurts so much. She had a wonderful home and knew how much you loved her.
That's so sad :( They really do become part of the family
Dayna, I am so sorry. Having lost two in the last two month I know just how much its hurts and the terrible void they leave. Let the tears run and try to remember the good times. Ingrid
OMG! This is so devastating to read. My heart so goes out to you, Danya and family, as we are dealing with a similar situation right now. I've been chronicling our Max's progress these last several days on my blog: http://scarf-it-up.blogspot.com
Ours is terminal too, but he rallied a bit today. But I know the end is near, so I am crying for you and your sweet girl and for our sweet boy.
Blessings,
Louise

Dayna - so sorry to hear.
Oh Dayna, I couldn't even get past her sweet picture without crying. Many, many hugs to you on your loss. I know how painful it is to lose an animal friend. They are pure love and will always be remembered for the wonderful but short time they spend with us. Love and peace to you, Liv
Oh, Scottie, I'm so very sorry! Miss Sassy was so lucky to have you.
So sorry about Miss Sassy. She had a great life with you and is waiting on the other side of the bridge.... Hugsss
Oh Dayna, that photo of Miss Sassy sporting her beautiful bonnet will always make me think of her...it is so classic Sassy! I am so very sorry to hear that she is gone. I know this is so hard, but I know that all the treasured thoughts of her will see you and the entire Williamson Clan through! I am sure the years she spent in your home were like a dream to her, after having such a cruel and miserable start in her life. Bless you all and sending warm hugs from the Bristolwood!!!!
I am so so sorry to hear of Miss Sassy's passing. The loss of our little furry family members is devastating. I am so glad that you came in to her life though to let her know what it's like to have a loving family.
I'm so sorry! What a lucky dog to have you cross her path and save her from an awful life! I'm sure it was hard for you to say goodbye!
I glanced down and saw the cute little dog, and paused to read the story. That caught me so off guard and brought tears to my eyes. I am so sorry for your loss, but so glad she had a happy home her last few years.
what a beautiful eulogy to your sweet Sassy. It is evident she was very much loved. You gave her a new home and a new life. You should be proud of yourself. Tears are always needed at times like these as good friends are hard to find and even harder to let go........
So sorry to hear of your Miss Sassy...it's plain to see she brought you much joy and vice versa!
