That is Armand Bayou near our house here in Texas. There are a lot of birds there & egrets, etc. and an occasional gator. We've always taken our kids to the duck pond there and on this particular day we had the grandson who is one yr. old. Thanks for visiting my blog. I too am an avid reader - talk to me about that!

Nice black and white picture. I love the snow in the trees, it makes the trees look almost delicate.
